OHIO STATE MURDERS

Starring Audra McDonald

Written by Adrienne Kennedy

Directed by Tony Award Winner Kenny Leon

Final performance: Sunday, January 15 James Earl Jones Theatre (138 W 48th St)

Six-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald--“the undisputed queen of live theater” (Variety)--stars in the riveting and surprising Ohio State Murders. In a tour-de-force performance directed by Tony Award winner Kenny Leon (A Soldiers Play), McDonald plays a famous writer who returns to her alma mater to finally reveal the truth of what happened when she was a student there.

Filled with “nail-biting suspense” (The New York Times), this haunting, provocative play marks the Broadway debut of legendary playwright Adrienne Kennedy, who earlier this year was awarded the Academy of Arts and Letters Gold Medal for Drama, one of only five recipients in history, along with Edward Albee, Tennessee Williams, Eugene O’Neill, and Arthur Miller. In a truly historic moment, Ms. Kennedy’s long-awaited debut will open the newly named James Earl Jones Theatre.
